Civic Duty Completed

And as an added bonus, I only stood in line 5 minutes, 2 minutes of which I spent standing in the wrong line.  I’m not quite sure exactly which local neighborhoods were in the other district voting in the same spot as ours, but their line was out the door of the building.  Once I realized the line split outside the doors, not inside, I walked right in, handed over my ID and filled in my ovals.

I took all three kiddos with me, since there was no school today.   The little ones didn’t care, but my oldest was asking questions right and left and trying to get me to tell him who I voted for.   It was a good lesson for him, plus I got to share why it was important to be allowed a secret vote.

We all walked out proudly sporting one of these:

vote1

I don’t care who you vote for today.  Just make yours count.

Until next time…
