The two page layout: An endangered species

I remember when I only created two page layouts.   Way back in the dark ages, I absolutely had to have matching pages side by side.    It didn’t matter if I only had 2 good photos of an event, I tossed in a couple so-so pictures so I could squeeze out the required coordinating facing page.   After all, The Rules declared that album pages must coordinate.  (Now?  I barely use ALBUMS!)   As my scrapbooking evolved and pages became more about everyday life and less about events, the two-pagers became fewer and farther between.

Over the last month or two, I’ve tried to make a decent effort to add more two-page layouts to my albums (er…stack).   The kids love them, and I still love the look all these years later.

This one is all digital, and a 6×12 format to fit a 6×6 album.

Until next time…

You are too funny. I also started out as a 12 x 12 2-page layout scrapper. The pages HAD to go together. Letting go of that and scrapping in other sizes was the most freeing thing. I still occasionally make 12 x 12 2 pagers, but most of my LOs are 8 1/2 x 11 (GASP!). It’s Stacy Julian’s fault, and it’s wonderful. I find I make more 2 pagers if I’m working in 8 x 8. And I also find it very freeing to let go of the bad photos. Ain’t this a marvelous journey we’re on?
