A Silverback Kind of Day

Today, I feel a lot like this guy:

I took this snapshot of our zoo’s old silverback gorilla last summer while the kids were at zoo camp. This photo has always given me a bit of a giggle when I look at it, thinking that poor old guy must have been having a really bad day. I’m guessing the expressions on my face today are giving this gorilla a run for his money.

Massive headache, sore knee, and running, jumping monkey kids everywhere.

Hopefully the caffeine and Advil will take care of the first two issues. The monkey kids? They aren’t going anywhere. Perhaps I’ll break out some of the extra school supplies I bought dirt cheap and have a crafty free-for-all.

Maybe it will even put a smile on my old, grumpy mug.

Until next time…
C.
