Fun Fact Friday! An ode to paper.

With CHA over, and every beautiful new collection swirling around in my head, I thought todays Fun Fact Friday should pay tribute to the wonderful use of trees that is paper.    Now normally this biologist wouldn’t condone cutting trees for frivolous use, but unfortunately I also have an undying love for books and pretty paper.    Alas, the war between right and left brain is a constant battle.    But I digress…

On with your useless trivia for today…

On this day, in:

1854— The clergyman’s paper shirt collar was patented by Walter Hunt of New York City. Imagine the comfort such an accessory would provide.  Yikes!

1871— Seth Wheeler of Albany, NY, patented perforated toilet paper. Now there’s an invention for which we all can be eternally grateful.   It’s the little things we take for granted that make the world a better place.

And so ends today’s edition of “Fun Fact Friday”.    Feel free to impress your friends with your brand new bits of knowledge and your grasp of completely worthless information.    No thanks necessary.  🙂

Off to the ortho this afternoon to have the knee checked again.   The PT isn’t helping.

Until next time…
