Holding my breath

The gesso appears to have done the trick.  (knocking on my wood computer desk)  I used 3 coats and followed with a coat of matte finish varnish for good measure, then topped with another coat of acrylic paint.

I’m now covered in tiny flecks of Styrofoam, which I need to clean up before my husband comes home and finds out I’ve been slicing it in the middle of the living room floor.   I put newspaper down, but something tells me he will not be appreciative of my efforts to keep the mess to a minimum.

I love the way this project is turning out (knocking on desk again).  Tonight I’m playing with some metal and tools from Walnut Hollow.  Just need to decide which of the fabulous embossing plates is the right one for the design.

Need to get much done today, since tomorrow my Buckeyes will be beating the snot out of Michigan and I must watch.  Back to work for me!
